Our main attraction today was visiting an elementary school near the city of Monte Verde (and yes, it is quite green). The children sang and danced in gorgeous costumes. They fed us a snack and drink and even showed us a three toed sloth carrying twins on her stomach-she was actually quite fast.
Prior to the school we stopped at a German Bakery (travel through central America to eat European fare...) and stopped to see 8 monkeys!
It was a two toed sloth; they are the ones at higher elevations. We also saw toucans and howler monkeys on the ride to Monte Verde.
